S. Korean Amb. Discusses Cooperation with Egypt's Parliament

South Korean Ambassador to Cairo Hong Jin-Wook met with Karim Darwish, Chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee in the Egyptian House of Representatives, to discuss bilateral cooperation.

During the meeting, Hong affirmed that Korean investments in Egypt will grow during the coming period, especially in the field of joint manufacturing between the two countries.

The ambassador also stressed Korea's keenness to open direct flights between Cairo and Seoul. The two officials addressed Egypt's hosting of the 27th session of the Conference of the Parties (COP27), as Hong hailed the Arab Republic's international efforts in the climate change file.

Moreover, the Korean diplomate highlighted that a high-level delegation from Seoul will participate in the summit to support and encourage tourism in Egypt.

In the same vein, the two sides shared the latest developments in bilateral relations between Egypt and Korea, as well as expanding parliamentary exchanges.

Meanwhile, South Korea’s Black Eagles Aerobatic Team landed in Cairo this morning to participate in the “Pyramids Airshow 2022” along with the Egyptian Air Force (EAF) Silver Stars Team.

The joint practice will take place next Wednesday, 3 August, in the Pyramids area. Black Eagles will participate with a number of aircraft that will carry out different distinguished air shows.
