South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol announced on Friday his country's intention to broaden defense industry cooperation with Vietnam. This comes in the light of Seoul's efforts to fortify collaboration with Vietnam against nuclear missile threats posed by North Korea.

During his visit to Vietnam, the South Korean President declared that an agreement has been reached to loan Hanoi 4 billion dollars by 2030, as reported by South Korea's official news agency, "Yonhap".

President Yoon initiated his three-day visit to Vietnam on Thursday, at a time when tensions in the region are escalating due to missile tests carried out by North Korea.
