Canadian actor Ryan Reynolds is taking on a new role less than a month from his a little acting break.
The actor will star in the comedy movie "Imaginary Friends" along with "Bridgerton" star Phoebe Waller-Bridge and "Harry Potter" actress Fiona Shaw
The movie is written and directed by John Krasinski and follows a man who talks to imaginary friends that other people outgrew and finds that the friends are very resentful of such action.
Production is set to begin next summer, providing Reynolds with a little break before he has to get back on set.
"Imaginary Friends" is scheduled for a Thanksgiving 2023 release.
On October 16, Reynolds announced his break from acting in an Instagram post that featured photos from behind the scenes of his new movie musical, "Spirited".
“Perfect time for a little sabbatical from movie making. I’m gonna miss every second working with this obscenely gifted group of creators and artists. These days, kindness matters as much as talent. I’ve been lucky to work with folks who are flush with both.” Reynolds added.
