On Thursday, Russia said that it expelled 7 Danish diplomats from its territory, in response to the action taken by Copenhagen against Moscow a month ago.

Russian Foreign Ministry confirmed in a statement that it summoned today, Thursday the Danish Ambassador, and expressed its strong protest to the announcement of his country on April 5 that 15 officers from the Russian embassy and its commercial representation in Copenhagen are persona non grata. Adding that the Danish authorities provided military support to Kyiv during the ongoing Russian military operation in Ukraine.

The statement added that the foreign ministry announced to the ambassador that it expelled 7 diplomats from the Danish embassy in Moscow, asking them to leave the country within two weeks.

Moscow also decided not to grant a visa to a diplomat, who is a member of the Danish mission.
