A Russian plane made an emergency landing, on Saturday, at Samara Kurumoch International Airport due to a report of a bomb on board.

The plane, Smartavia's Boeing-737, was coming from St. Petersburg, Russia Today (RT) reported.

An unknown person informed the authorities of the presence of a bomb on board the "Boeing-737". In response, the airport officials confirmed to Interfax that it had taken a series of measures to ensure security during the landing of the plane.

On their part, the emergency services and explosives experts arrived at the airport, awaiting the emergency landing of the plane.

Last November, at least 5 people were killed while 3 others were missing as a Russian cargo plane landed in eastern Siberia and caught fire.

TASS news agency said that an An-12 aircraft had disappeared from radar screens when it was on its way to Irkutsk from Yakutsk.
