Today, Wednesday, the Russian Foreign Ministry informed the Italian ambassador to Moscow, Giorgio Staras, that 24 Italian diplomats had been expelled from Moscow.
This decision came as a response to Rome’s announcement early last month to expel 30 Russian diplomats.

Earlier today, the Russian Foreign Ministry summoned the ambassadors of France and Spain, to inform the French ambassador of its decision to expel 34 French diplomats, in response to a similar measure taken by Paris against Russian diplomats.
