Russian Cultural Center in Egypt Honors "Alexei Tiffanyan" for Significant Contributions

Russian Cultural Center in Egypt organized several concerts to honor director Alexei Tiffanyan for his great contributions in supporting Egyptian-Russian relations.

Celebration were held to bid farewell to Tiffanyan as he ended his term as the head of the Russian Cultural Center.

Ambassador Ezzat Saad, Director of Egyptian Council for Foreign Affairs (ECFA), organized a dinner party to appreciate Tiffanyan’s tangible efforts during the last few years.

Sherif Gad, President of the Egyptian Association of Graduates of Russian and Soviet Universities, Dr. Ibrahim Kamel ,Vice-President of the Egyptian-Russian Friendship Society, Russian Ambassador to Cairo Georgiy Borisenko, Marat Gatin, director of the Russian House in Alexandria, were among the attendees in addition to Armenian Ambassador Hrachya Poladian.

On his part, Borisenko thanked Tiffanyan for his period of work which brought fruitful results and had a direct impact on the development of cultural relations between the two countries.

Saad also hailed Tiffanyan’s work, emphasizing that it is a solid evidence to the various and extended activities in Egypt.

Gatin expressed his immense pride in Tiffanyan's vital role in Egypt which strengthened relations with Egyptian cultural circles. He also stressed that they will do their utmost to maintain this standard and hoped for Tiffanyan to achieve more successes.

In the same vein, Gad asserted that Tiffanyan was keen from the very first day of his work to prove that the Alumni Association is the main partner of the Russian Center.

Tiffanyan expressed his huge happiness and deep gratitude to this warmth he felt during his term in the Russian Center, adding that this period was the most important one during his career.

“You have become part of my life,” he said, affirming that Egypt is his second home and he will be extremely happy to return once again, especially that he drank from the Nile.
