The Russian Ambassador to Egypt, Georgy Borisenko, confirmed that the Dabaa station, which operates with nuclear energy for peaceful purposes, will be a new model and symbol of Russian-Egyptian cooperation, like the High Dam in Aswan.
The Russian ambassador said, in an interview with the Russian “TASS” agency, that “what happened today at the Dabaa station is very important for the development of Russian-Egyptian relations,” adding that initial operation is expected in 2028, and the entire plant is expected to start operating in 2030.
