The Russian Aerospace Forces have launched airstrikes on four militant sites in Syria, according to Oleg Ignasyuk, Deputy Head of the Russian Center for Reconciliation of Opposing Sides in Syria.
Ignasyuk stated, "Over the past two days, the Russian Armed Forces have conducted strikes on four specific militant sites. These militants had fled from the Al-Tanf area and sought refuge in the inaccessible areas of the Bishri Mountain Range."
He added that the leadership of the Syrian Armed Forces continues reconnaissance and search operations in the mountainous and desert regions of Deir ez-Zor Province.
Earlier last week, Ignasyuk reported that the US-led International Coalition had violated air safety regulations 21 times.
In this context, the Russian side recorded 16 violations in the Al-Tanf area and five violations in a single day of the Coalition’s deconfliction protocols dated December 9, 2019.
