Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov is set to host a meeting in Moscow on Tuesday to discuss the situation in Gaza with foreign ministers from Arab League countries and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, according to the Russian news agency TASS.
Maria Zakharova, spokesperson for the Russian Foreign Ministry, stated that Lavrov will meet with some of his counterparts from Arab League countries and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.
This meeting follows a gathering held in Beijing, China, on Monday, which included foreign ministers from China, the Palestinian Authority, Indonesia, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and Jordan.
Beijing serves as the first stop on a ministerial delegation's international tour representing Arab and Islamic nations. The tour aims to engage in discussions aimed at addressing the Israeli aggression against the Gaza Strip.
During their visit to Beijing, the delegation called for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza. They emphasized their commitment to continued consultations with China to find effective ways to contain the crisis and mitigate its consequences.
