Russia threatened that it might attack military targets on British soil because of its support for Ukraine, and might strike British diplomats returning to Kyiv, the capital city of Ukraine.

The Russian threat came after a statement by a British minister in which he supported the launching of Ukrainian attacks inside Russian territory, which Moscow considered a "provocative".

A spokesman for the Russian presidency, the Kremlin, said that inciting Kyiv to do such things would prompt a Russian response.

He added that the Russian army is ready to launch retaliatory strikes with high-precision missiles on decision-making centers in Kyiv.

He said that the presence of advisers from Western countries in Ukrainian decision-making centers, would not necessarily be a problem for Russia when making the decision to attack.

On her part, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman, Maria Zakharova, said that her government may give the green light to strike members of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), who supply Ukraine with weapons, according to the British newspaper "Daily Mail".
