Head of Russian delegation in the negotiations, Vladimir Medinsky, announced that Russia has received a draft memorandum from Ukraine concerning a potential peace agreement.
According to the Russian news agency TASS, Medinsky, who is leading Moscow's delegation in the peace talks scheduled for Monday, stated, “The Russian delegation has earlier received its copy of the memorandum of understanding on a peaceful settlement from Ukraine.”
The Russian delegation has arrived in Istanbul to participate in the peace negotiations with the Ukrainian delegation, set to take place on Monday.
The meeting between the Russian and Ukrainian delegations is scheduled to be held at the Çırağan Palace on the European side of Istanbul.
Earlier on Sunday, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that he had assigned a delegation, headed by Defense Minister Rustem Umerov, to take part in the peace negotiations in pursuit of ending the war.
