Russia’s Ministry of Transport has launched the first Arabic-language map of the Moscow Metro as part of ongoing efforts to expand the city’s tourism sector and strengthen ties with Arab nations.

The initiative aims to make travel easier and more accessible for Arabic-speaking visitors.

Maxim Liksutov, Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Transport and Industry, shared details about the project during an interview with Russia Today.

He explained that the new Arabic-language metro map was developed specifically for tourists from the Middle East to enhance their experience in the Russian capital.

According to Liksutov, the Arabic metro map will be available through the “Moscow Metro” mobile application, which offers multiple language options.

In addition, physical copies will be distributed free of charge at tourist information centers, hotels, and metro station entrances. Metro staff will also be available to assist Arabic-speaking visitors in navigating the system.

The Moscow Metro, often described as an architectural masterpiece, features more than 206 stations across a sprawling network of 346 kilometers.

About 50 of these stations are listed as federally significant historical landmarks and are recognized globally for their outstanding architectural and engineering achievements.
