The Russian state corporation, Rostec, has announced the development of new electronic equipment designed to improve the performance of communication satellites.
In a statement, Rostec revealed that experts at their subsidiary, Ruselectronics, have successfully developed new wave lamps to boost signal strength in the promising Express-RV Russian satellites.
The statement detailed that these highly efficient wave lamps will be part of the equipment used in modern Russian communication satellites.
Notably, these new lamps are distinguished by their compact size and lightweight design, each weighing less than 1.2 kg and boasting an operational lifespan of up to 150,000 hours.
Rostec emphasized that wave lamps are one of the key components used in satellites, significantly enhancing signal strength.
Earlier, the Russian space agency Roscosmos indicated that the new constellation of Express-RV satellites will consist of four satellites operating in elliptical orbits around Earth, with an expected operational lifespan of approximately 10 years.
