Russia Delivers More than 21 Tons of Humanitarian Aid to Ukraine

Russia's Ministry of Emergency Situations announced delivering more than 21 tons of humanitarian aid to Donbas and Ukraine, since the start of the humanitarian aid operation.

"Since May 18, aid has been delivered to the Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics and Ukraine, including more than 800 tons of bottled water, foodstuffs, and materials of primary necessity," the ministry said in a statement carried by TASS news agency on Saturday.

Since the start of the humanitarian aid operation, more than 21 tons of humanitarian aid have been delivered by 337 convoys, noting that up to 16.5 tons of medicines have been delivered.

On February 21, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the recognition of the sovereignty of the Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics.
