The health ministry said on Saturday that Russia has started to produce the first batch of the world's first coronavirus vaccine production of the first batch of vaccines against COVID-19.
On Tuesday, August 11, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the registration of the first Coronavirus vaccine in the world.
The vaccine was created by the Gamaleya Scientific Research Institute of Epidemiology and Microbiology, a medical institute located near Moscow.
The vaccine clinical trials began on June 18. Gridnev had said that the effectiveness of the vaccine will be decided when the population has developed an immunity.
It is worth mentioning that, Russia is one of several countries racing to be the first to develop a coronavirus vaccine to halt the pandemic that has so far killed at least 727,288 people worldwide.
