Russia Announces Shooting down 10 Ukrainian Drones

The Russian Defense Ministry announced that its air forces shot down 10 Ukrainian drones in the Kherson region.

Ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov said that the Air Forces destroyed three MLRS "Grad" missiles, the M-777 howitzer, and two Giacint howitzers with high-precision weapons.

On the other hand, The Ukrainian army announced that 35,850 Russian soldiers had been killed since the start of the military operation.

The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces said – in a statement reported by the Ukrenform news agency today, Monday, that the Ukrainian forces managed to destroy 1,532 tanks, 3,659 armored personnel carriers, 764 artillery systems, 243 anti-aircraft systems, 217 aircraft, 184 helicopters and 630 operational and tactical drones.

Earlier, Russian Foreign Minister (FM) Sergey Lavrov stressed that Moscow will not set artificial timetables to complete its “special military operation”, launched in Ukraine on February 24, by Victory Day on May 9.

In press remarks, Lavrov reiterated that the operation aims to “ensure the safety of civilians and make sure that there are no threats from Ukraine to civilians and Russia,” adding that the operational pace depends on the need to mitigate risks for civilians and Russian troops.
