Egyptian singer-actress Ruby announced Thursday on Instagram a new song "Asal Ya Nas".
She added that the song will debut on Friday, December 30 on YouTube and music platforms at 08:00 PM.
Ruby will be seen next in the family film "Shalaby".
It also stars Karim Mahmoud Abdel Aziz, Bayoumi Fouad, Suleiman Eid, Hatem Salah, and others.
"Shalaby" is written by Mostafa Hamdy and directed by Peter Mimi.
The project is a romance and comedy that will feature musical numbers.
"Shalaby" sees Ruby as an owner of a hotel and Abdel Aziz as an employee at an amusement park.
The film follows the pair as they meet and fall while experiencing many surprising and comedic events.
The project marks the third collaboration between Abdel Aziz and Mimi after 2019's film "Mousa" and 2022's film "For Zeko".
The makers of the film allocated 5% of Shalabi's revenues to the benefit of Egypt’s biggest children's cancer hospital 57357, which mainly relies on donations.
The hospital is fighting for survival as the country braces up to face the consequences of another possible devaluation of the Egyptian pound and fights to reduce the impact of the global economic crisis.
"Shalaby" is set to be released in theatres on January 4, 2023.
