Cristiano Ronaldo, captain of the Portuguese national team and Saudi club Al-Nassr, gifted valuable commemorative gifts to all members of the Portuguese national team who participated in winning the 2025 UEFA Nations League title.
According to sources close to Cristiano Ronaldo, speaking to OneFootball, the gifts were luxury watches specially designed for each player, bearing engravings and details that commemorate this European triumph. This gesture reflects the captain's appreciation for his teammates' efforts and contributions to winning the title.
The report explained that Cristiano Ronaldo commissioned these watches and sent them to his compatriots before the match against Armenia in the final round of the European qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup, held at the Estádio do Dragão in Porto, Portugal. Portugal won the match 9-1, securing their qualification for the CONCACAF World Cup.
The most striking aspect of this humanitarian initiative was the tribute paid to the late star Diogo Jota, who was part of the title-winning team before his tragic death. Cristiano Ronaldo personally commissioned a luxury watch bearing Jota's name and requested that it be officially presented to his family as a token of appreciation for his stature and contributions to the national team.
The Liverpool striker passed away at the age of 28 following an accident in the Spanish province of Zamora last July, just a month after winning the UEFA Nations League title with Portugal against Spain in a penalty shootout.
