Romanian PM: Egypt "First Destination for Romanian Trade in Africa"

Egypt's prime minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly and his Romanian Counterpart Nicolae Ciucă inaugurated on Sunday the Egyptian-Romanian Business Forum.

Madbouly stressed the strength of bilateral relations between the two countries, adding that Egypt and Romania signed an agreement to establish the Egyptian-Romanian Business Council, pointing out to the importance of Romanian investments in Egypt, as the number of Romanian companies operating in Egypt reached 101.

He explained that the government is interested in implementing a strategy to provide incentives and guarantees to investors.

On his part, the Romanian Prime Minister said that this "Romanian-Egyptian" forum has a large number of Romanian companies in various fields, adding that this is an affirmation of the fruitful cooperation between the two countries.

He noted that there are many areas of economic cooperation with Egypt, including agriculture, infrastructure and technology, explaining that Egypt is the first destination for Romanian trade in Africa, and "we want to boost this cooperation."
