Pop Singer Rihanna’s high-end fashion line, "Fenty Fashion House" with LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton is being suspended indefinitely, less than two years after its debut as the pandemic pummels demand for clothing.

“Rihanna and LVMH have jointly made the decision to put on hold the ready-to-wear activity, based in Europe, pending better conditions,” LVMH said in a statement on Wednesday.

The fashion line stopped posting on Instagram on January 1, and the last collection drop on Fenty.com dates back to November 2020: nail-heeled footwear in collaboration with Amina Muaddi.

Fenty was launched in 2019. It made history as the first luxury brand run by a black woman and for its inclusivity and persity. It was also only the second luxury fashion house started from scratch by the French conglomerate LVMH – after Christian Lacroix in 1987.
