Egyptian actress Riham Abdel Ghafour is attached to star alongside actor and screenwriter Hesham Maged in the comedy film "Pershama".
The cast also stars Bassem Samra, Taha Desouky, Moustafa Ghareeb, and more.
Khaled Diab directs the pic from a script by Ahmed El-Zaghbi and Sherine Diab. SkyLimit Studio is the banner behind the film.
Abdel Ghafour made her last appearance on the big screen reprising her role as Nevine Gouda in 2023's "Awlad Harim Karim", the highly-anticipated sequel to the 2005 film "Harim Karim".
Principal photography is set to begin at the end of October.
On the other hand, Abdel Ghafour is planning to participate in the Ramadan 2025 drama marathon with the TV series "Zolm Al Mastaba", starring Eyad Nassar and Fathy Abdel Wahab.
The drama hails from acclaimed director Hani Khalifa and scriptwriter Fawzi Saleh.
"Zolm Al Mastaba" marks the second collaboration between Abdel Ghafour and Nassar after the 2022 TV series "Wish Wa Dahr".
Abdel Ghafour, born on September 6, 1978, is the daughter of the late veteran Egyptian actor Ashraf Abdel Ghafour.
The actress played the leading female role with Muhammad Heneidy and Ashraf Abdul Baky in the film “Saaheb Sahbo – Best Friends”.
She became very popular for her delicateness and distinctiveness, which was noticed in her TV and cinema roles.
Abdel Ghafour participated in many TV series like “Al-aaela wal-naas" (Family and People), “Hadeeth al-sabaah wal-massaa" (Day and Night Talk) and “Zizinia" (A Neighborhood in Alexandria).
In cinema, she participated in “Mallaaky Eskendereyya" (Privé Alexandria), "Kaan yowm hobbak" (The Day of your love), “Gaay fel-sareea" (I’m Coming!) and “Bel-Araby Cinderella" (Cinderella in Arabic).
Abdel Ghafour also performed in the play “Hamlet” and co-worked with Yahia al-Fakharaany in “Al-Malek Lear" (King Lear).
