Spanish Football Federation issued a number of decisions, Tuesday, after Real Madrid forward Vinicius Jr. was racially abused during LaLiga encounter against Valencia.
Vinicius was racially abused by fans at the Mestalla Stadium, and the game was halted for 10 minutes as the player pointed out people who were abusing him.
One of those decisions is rescinding the red card given to the Brazilian winger during the match.
The federation said: "The RFEF Competition Committee considers that the referee's assessment was determined by the omission of the entirety of the play that took place, which affected the refereeing decision."
"The fact that he (the referee) was deprived of a decisive part of the facts led him to adopt an arbitrary decision. And this is because it was impossible for him to properly assess what happened."
Moreover, seven people were detained by Spanish police after committing different hate crimes against Vinicius.
The RFEF also announced that it fined Valencia 45,000 euros and the closing of the south stand of the Valencia stadium for five matches.
On the other hand, Valencia called the sanction "disproportionate" and "unfair", saying it harms the fans who were not involved in the "shameful incident".
