The rescued Egyptian sailors, who were detained in Yemen over the past several days, have returned home on Sunday.
Under the directives of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, Egypt’s authorities managed to secure the release of 20 Egyptian sailors who were detained in Yemen, over charges of trespassing into Yemeni territorial waters without a permit.
The authorities had made huge efforts to release the sailors based on the presidential directives to the concerned agencies and provide all aspects of care to Egyptians at home and abroad.
The released sailors are in good health after they had received the necessary medical care.
