Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly opened negotiations with Italian coach Roberto De Zerbi over the possibility of taking charge ahead of next season.
According to The Telegraph, the North London club has initiated discussions with De Zerbi, who is currently without a club after leaving Olympique de Marseille.
The Italian is said to be interested in the role but has set a key condition before committing.
Reports indicate that De Zerbi will only agree to take over if Tottenham secure their place in the Premier League and avoid relegation this season.
Tottenham are enduring a difficult campaign and currently sit 17th in the league standings with 30 points, just one point above the relegation zone.
The club is expected to part ways with current head coach Igor Tudor at the end of the season.
De Zerbi is not the only candidate under consideration. Former Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino, now in charge of the United States men's national soccer team, is also reportedly among the best contenders for the position.
With the club battling to avoid relegation, Tottenham’s managerial decision is expected to play a crucial role in shaping their future ahead of the 2026–27 season.
