On Friday, veteran pro wrestling journalist Dave Meltzer said that SmackDown Women's title match is set to main event the first night of the iconic WrestleMania 39.

Charlotte Flair, the Queen, will defend her title against The Judgement Day's Rhea Ripley, the Eradicator.

Ripley earned her spot at the main event of WrestleMania after winning the 30-woman Royal Rumble match.

After winning the 30-woman match, the Eradicator challenged the Queen for a title match at WrestleMania.

Meltzer said that many fans favored the teased tag team match between The Usos vs. Sami Zayn & Kevin Owens as the first-night's main event. However, the SmackDown Women's title match was set to main event the first night for "political reasons."

If WWE confirmed the news, Flair will be the only woman in WWE who main events WreslteMania twice.

The first women's main event in the history of the WWE WrestleMania was in WrestleMania 35. It was a triple-threat match for the promotion's both women's title. The lineup of the match was Becky Lynch, Flair, and Ronda Rousey.

In WrestleMania 37, Bianca Blair and Sasha Banks were the first-ever black women to main event WrestleMania.
