England international Bukayo Saka is close to signing a new contract with Arsenal that would keep him at the club until 2031, despite his current deal running until June 2027, according to media reports.

Sky Sports News reported that several clubs from the Premier League and abroad have been closely monitoring Saka’s situation.

However, the winger’s desire to remain at Arsenal has been clear from the outset, with the player keen to continue his career at the Emirates Stadium.

Saka has become a key figure in Arsenal’s squad under head coach Mikel Arteta and is the club’s most-used player since the Spanish manager took charge in 2020.

Since breaking into the first team, Saka has made 290 appearances in all competitions for the Gunners, scoring 77 goals.

This season, he has netted seven goals in 27 matches.
