On Wednesday, Ukrainian officials revealed that the Russian troops captured Kherson city by controlling the majority of its strategic points, Reuters cited local reports.

The Russian forces managed to control the railway station and the ports of the city shortly before capturing it.

It is worthy to mention that the Russians took the Kherson International Airport and started to control the streets.

Previously, the Russian military troops captured Kherson Oblast and controlled Antonovskiy Bridge and the ports of the Dnieper River.

In the same context, five persons were killed in an airstrike that hit the Ukrainian TV Tower that stands in the heart of Kyiv, the Ukrainian Interior Ministry announced on Tuesday.

The ministry added that the equipment of the podcasting and tv streaming have been knocked out. Ukraine’s Interior Ministry continued that “channels won’t work for a while.”

Ukrainian officials released footage of the strike casualties as the Russian forces are seeking to enter the city.

Ukrainian Volodymyr Zelensky said: "To the world: what is the point of saying ‘never again’ for 80 years if the world stays silent when a bomb drops on the same site of Babi Yar."
