On Monday, press reports revealed that Tunisia couldn't finalize their agreement with Portuguese coach Carlos Queiroz to take charge of the senior Tunisian football team.
Earlier, Tunisian media had discussed the possibility of Queiroz coaching the "Carthage Eagles" after he arrived in Tunisia last Friday to discuss the move with the interim committee of the Tunisian Football Federation.
Later on, Tunisia's "Nessma Sport" reported that Queiroz will not be the next coach of the Tunisian national team, stating that the new coach is expected to be announced after the elections of the Tunisian football governing body.
Last October, the Tunisian Football Federation announced that it terminated the contract of the Tunisian national first football team Faouzi Benzarti.
Benzarti was appointed to lead the team last June, replacing another Tunisian coach Montasser Louhichi.
Benzarti previously held this position three times in several occasions.
