Qatar told Israel that Hamas agreed in principle to resume talks with Israel for the release of more hostages that were captured by Hamas during October 7 events, media reports said early Saturday.
The reports cited three Israeli officials that Israel will respond warily to detect Hamas seriousness to resume talks.
According to the report, the talks will concentrate on discussing the proposal of Mossad Chief David Barnea. The proposal includes the release of about 40 hostages, including women, men over 60 and people with serious medical issues. In return, a truce for a week or two will be applied, in addition to the release a numer of Palestinian prisoners.
