Reports: KSA Al-Ittihad Proposes to Sign Messi

On Wednesday, reports indicated that the Jeddah-based Al Ittihad club proposed to sign Lionel Messi for 88 million euros per season.

Reports added that the Saudi club is keen to sign the man who carries the world cup in 2022 with his country's national team. However, they revealed that Messi will possibly decline the Jeddah-based club's proposal as he wants to play in Europe.

Previously, reports highlighted that Riyadh's Al Hilal proposed to sign Messi for 250 euros per season after he declined the initial proposal.

Last week, Lionel Messi's father and agent, Jorge Messi, had a meeting with Barcelona's Joan Laporta as both discussed the possibility of Messi's return to the Spanish club.

It was reported that the legend's father and Laporta didn't reach any breakthrough regarding the return of the forward.  

After the news of the latest meeting, reports added that Barcelona captains were willing to lower their salaries to accommodate the Argentian ace.

Despite recent speculations, Jorge Messi and the PSG entourage are set for a meeting in the near future, which means the possibility of renewing Messi's contract with the Paris-based club.

Lionel Messi visited the Spanish city, and he reunited with his former teammates Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba.
