It appears that English striker and Bayern Munich star Harry Kane is edging closer to joining Barcelona to strengthen as the future of Polish star Robert Lewandowski with the Catalan club is uncertain.
According to the Catalan newspaper Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona views Harry Kane as more than just a striker; they consider him a complete player who can both create chances and finish them.
The report added that there is a strong belief within the club that Kane would deliver immediate results in the short term, as he is a proven goal scorer, a quality not shared by many forwards currently available on the transfer market.
Barcelona’s management believes a move for Harry Kane is possible if the sporting department officially requests it, but on one condition: the departure of Lewandowski, whose salary costs the club 40 million euros annually.
Kane has scored 23 goals so far this season in all competitions for Bayern Munich, outperforming Erling Haaland, who scored 19 goals for Manchester City, and Kylian Mbappé, who scored 18 goals for Real Madrid.
In total, Kane has scored 404 career goals at club level, including 280 goals in 435 appearances for Tottenham, 108 goals in 113 matches for Bayern Munich, and 78 goals in 112 appearances for the England national team.
