After the recent tensions in the relationship of the Liverpool Egyptian international star Mohamed Salah, and his German coach Jürgen Klopp, press reports revealed, on Sunday, that the Spanish giant Real Madrid have already approached Salah.
The Spanish "Defensa Central" network quoted what it described as a "close source" to Mohamed Salah, confirming that Real Madrid currently has "close contact with the player's representatives," pointing out that there is an interest in signing him.
The Spanish network added that "Salah is thinking of moving" to the Royal club, and that everything will become clear after the end of the current season.
Several months ago, the agent of the Egyptian player explained that Real Madrid had already made an offer to sign him, according to "Defensa Central", but the idea of a transfer has now become more realistic than ever before.
Defensa Central indicated that the president of Real Madrid, Florentino Perez, considers Salah "one of the best footballers on the planet."
Salah is going through an exceptional season with Liverpool, playing 21 games, scoring 16 goals, and providing 4 assists.
Salah sparked widespread controversy recently after he held an interview with the Spanish "AS", during which he talked about his disappointment after he was denied the captainship of the team in the Reds clash against Midtjylland in the Champions League, and said: "I am disappointed, but it's up to the coach."
Commenting to "AS" on the possibility of his move to one of the two giants of Spain, Real Madrid and Barcelona, Salah replied: "I think that Real Madrid and Barcelona are top clubs, who knows what might happen in the future .. I can say that everything is in the hands of the club now."
After Salah’s statements, he did not start in his team’s formation for the last clash against Crystal Palace in a rare incident, as Liverpool boss Klopp said: “For the first time in a while we had the opportunity to make a change in the formation. Mo has participated extensively in the last 4 fixtures.. It was a good idea to make him participate in the 2nd half during Palace's match and this is the case."
Regarding the interview with" AS ", Klopp said:" I have nothing to say and everything is fine on my part."
