The Ensemble of Religious Chanting will perform various traditional and contemporary religious and spiritual compositions on Sunday at Cairo Opera House's open-air theater.
The setlist of the concert will include Morsy Al Hariry’s “Siketak Salama,” Mohamed El Kahlawy’s “Hob Al Rasool,” Sheikh Ismail Sokkar’s “Erwy Li,” Farid Al Atrash’s “Aalik Salat Alah,” and others.
Conducted by Alaa Abdel Salam, the ensemble includes Nihad Fathy, Tamer Nagah, Hossam Sakr, Mohamed Abdel Tawab, Ehab Nada, and Ibrahim Farouk
Religious chanting is a musical form centered around pine love and praising God. It is also based on the harmony between vocals and musical tunes.
Started in the Umayyad era, this art has various forms, patterns, and rhythms and Ibrahim Bin Al Mahdy, Abu Eissa Saleh, and Abdel Bin Moussa El Hady.
