Real Madrid's manager Zinedine Zidane has expressed his interest in signing Liverpool's winger Sadio Mane during the upcoming summer transfers.
The French coach is looking forward to boosting the strength of Madrid's attacking line by signing a new forward.
According to the British newspaper Express, Zidane is keen on signing Borussia Dortmund’s Norwegian hit-man Erling Haaland and Liverpool's star Mane.
"Zidane has made Borussia Dortmund’s Norwegian hit-man Erling Haaland his top target after scoring 12 goals in his first 11 appearances for the Bundesliga outfit," the newspaper said.
Express said that Liverpool are feeling afraid of letting the Senegalese star leave as he is one of the most influential players in the Reds, having scoring 14 Premier League goals during the ongoing season.
"Liverpool fears over Sadio Mane transfer eased as Real Madrid make Erling Haaland decision," it said.
On January 7, Mane was named African Footballer of the Year for the first time in his history.
The Senegal winger edged the two nominees after a vote decided by head coaches, technical directors and captains of senior national teams from CAF member associations.
Senegal's captain guided his national team to reach the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations final, before suffering a 0-1 defeat from Algeria.
He also claimed the Uefa Champions League, Uefa Super Cup and recently the Fifa Club World Cup trophies with Liverpool.
