RMC Sport reported on Friday that Real Madrid's Endrick Felipe suffered from a family loss on Christmas Day.
Felipe's brother-in-law was shot dead in a bar on the outskirts of Brasilia.
Mauricio Nunes Goncalves was married to Endrick’s older sister Lavinia Sudre, and he was shot dead without apparent cause on Christmas Day.
The funeral was held on the following day.
Police are investigating the incident, however the motive of the killer didn't pronounced yet.
Endrick seemed that he wasn't in Brazil during Christmas holidays, as he posted several photos of him and his wife Gabriely Miranda in the Spanish capital.
It is expected that Real Madrid will return to training next week.
