Real Madrid have officially denied reports linking the club with a move for Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernandez during the summer transfer window.

Recent reports had claimed that Fernandez was a priority target for Madrid, with head coach Jose Mourinho reportedly eager to bring the Argentina international to the Santiago Bernabéu.

However, Real Madrid dismissed the speculation in an official statement, making it clear that the club has "no intention of undertaking such an operation."

The announcement could have implications for the futures of midfielders Aurélien Tchouaméni and Eduardo Camavinga, both of whom have been linked with potential moves to Manchester United.

Madrid have already strengthened their midfield by signing Bernardo Silva from Manchester City, reducing the need for further reinforcements in that area. Any additional arrivals would likely require player departures first.

Meanwhile, Fernandez's future at Chelsea remains uncertain. His agent, Javier Pastore, recently revealed that the midfielder is exploring options to leave Stamford Bridge this summer.

Arsenal have also been credited with an interest in the 25-year-old, although the Gunners are reportedly prioritizing a move for Newcastle United captain Bruno Guimarães, who is expected to be available for a lower transfer fee.

Chelsea are reportedly demanding around £120 million for Fernandez, whose contract with the Blues runs for another six years.
