Real Madrid maintained their first leg advantage in the UEFA Champions League quarter final as they hold a goalless draw with Liverpool in the second leg to reach the semi-final with a 3-1 aggregate victory.

Liverpool wasted several chances to compensate their first leg loss as they started the game so fiercely as early  as after only two minutes when Mohamed Salah fired a left-foot shot left  from the centre of the box saved in the centre of the goal.

The Egyptian star came close one again to opening the scoring, but his shot was blocked by Éder Militão. Diogo Jota made a nice move into Madrid's penalty area in the 70th minute, but his left footed shot from a difficult angle on the left was blocked. Assisted by Andrew Robertson.

Liverpool's goalkeeper Alisson made a brilliant save to Vinícius Júnior's shot from the centre of the box.

Real Madrid are set to clash against Chelsea in the semi-finals, as the Blues knocked out Portugal's Porto to reach the last four.
