On Tuesday, Real Madrid secured their qualification for the final of the Copa del Rey with a thrilling scenario against Real Sociedad.
Real Madrid hosted Real Sociedad in the second leg of the Copa del Rey semi-final, ending with a 4-4 draw at the Santiago Bernabéu.
With this result, Real Madrid secured their place in the final with an aggregate score of 5-4, winning the first leg away 1-0.
They will meet the winner of the other semi-final between Atlético Madrid and Barcelona, which will take place on Wednesday evening.
The first leg of that tie also ended in a 4-4 draw.
Ander Barinchea of Real Sociedad opened the scoring in the 16th minute, before Endrick equalized for Real Madrid in the 30th minute, making the score 1-1 at halftime.
In the second half, Real Madrid conceded two goals within 8 minutes. David Alaba scored an own goal in the 72nd minute, followed by Mikel Oyarzabal adding a third for Sociedad in the 80th minute.
However, Real Madrid responded with two quick goals, with Jude Bellingham and Aurélien Tchouaméni scoring in the 82nd and 86th minutes, which would have guaranteed their qualification during regular time.
This scenario continued as Sociedad scored their fourth goal in the third minute of stoppage time, making it 4-3 and sending the match into extra time.
In the second half of extra time, Real Madrid managed to score the fourth goal through Antonio Rüdiger with a header in the 115th minute of the match.
