Real Madrid Confirm David Alaba’s Departure after Five-Year Spell

Real Madrid CF have officially announced that David Alaba will leave the club at the end of the current season, bringing an end to his five-year stay at the Santiago Bernabéu.

The Austrian defender made 131 appearances for Real Madrid and played a key role in one of the club’s most successful recent eras, helping the Spanish giants win 11 trophies, including two UEFA Champions League titles, two La Liga crowns, and one Copa del Rey.

Alaba’s standout campaign came during the 2021-22 season, when he established himself as one of the leaders of the squad and played a major part in Real Madrid’s domestic and European success.

However, the latter stages of his time in Madrid were heavily affected by recurring injuries, which limited his playing time and interrupted his momentum with the team.

Despite those setbacks, Alaba leaves the club with a strong legacy and the appreciation of the Real Madrid supporters after several memorable performances in white.
