On Wednesday, marine scientist Christopher Mah's name trended worldwide after spotting a real-life yellow-Sponge creature and laying beside a pink sea star which was linked to Nickelodeon's classic show "SpongeBob SquarePants," with its two stars: Spongepop, and his partner, Patrick.

Mah found the couple under the waves of the Atlantic waves, and it was spotted by a remotely-controlled deep-sea device.
After the photo went viral, the scientist tweeted: "I normally avoid these refs... but WOW. REAL LIFE SpongeBob and Patrick!"
Although there are more than 8,500 species of sponges under the ocean, this was the first time to observe a real-life sponge creature like the world-famed animated character.
Mah later expressed to the media that he was surprised by the bright colors of the couple which resembled the celebrated Nickelodean couple.
He added: "I thought it would be funny to make the comparison, which for once was actually kind of comparable to the iconic images/colors of the cartoon characters."
However, marine experts gave one more shocking fact about the relationship between sponges and this kind of sea star known as Chondraster.
The fact is that the relation between two creatures in real sea life is not based on friendship! However, Chondrasters are feeding upon sponges!
