Apple TV+ debuted the first trailer for the series "Black Bird", featuring the late actor Ray Liotta.

The six-episode limited series showcases the "Goodfellas" star's supporting turn as the father of real-life high school football star-turned-convict, Jimmy Keene, played by Taron Egerton.

The series is adapted by celebrated crime novelist, Dennis Lehane, from Keene's 2010 memoir, In With the Devil.

"Black Bird" follows Jimmy as he wrestles with the dramatic turn his life has taken after he's sentenced to a prison stint for selling drugs.

The Apple TV+ drama is set to premiere on the streaming service on July 8.

When Liotta passed away last month in the Dominican Republic, he left behind several performances that will be released posthumously, including "Black Bird", which marks his last appearance in a TV series.

The actor had also completed filming the thriller movie "Cocaine Bear", directed by Elizabeth Banks, and Charlie Day's directorial feature debut.

Liotta was in the middle of shooting another movie, "Dangerous Waters" when he passed away in his sleep at age 67.

The late actor was most known for his roles in the 1989 movie "Field of Dreams" and in Martin Scorsese's 1990 movie "Goodfellas".

He was a Primetime Emmy Award-winning actor and received a Golden Globe Award nomination and two Screen Actors Guild Award nominations.
