Award-winning singer and songwriter, Ramy Gamal has revealed that he is suffering from vitiligo disease.

"Praise to God, who has tested me with vitiligo.. A while ago white spots appeared on my body and after an examination, I learned that I have vitiligo disease. I tried many treatments and visiting many doctors, but it was useless," Gamal wrote on Instagram.

He continued: "I accepted it because I knew that sadness made it worse. It's enough that my work is stressful, and indeed it kept getting worse to the point of attracting the attention of many people, who asked how I'm combining with the condition as an artist, and those who were afraid to give me a handshake while asking if it is contagious,"

He added: "For over a year, if I had a concert or filming I got tired of finding a way to hide it. I was advised to seek another business because people will not accept me like that, and I thought of their words, frankly."

"I found that I have two solutions, the first to retire, despite my love for it and not knowing anything else. The second is that I will not hide it again, and accept me as I am," he added.

"Have mercy on all God's creature who is tested by him with their strange look, thank God for the blessing of the family because they are the only ones who accept you just the way you are."
