Ragheb Alama Concludes Summer with ‘Ghosta Festival’ Concert

Lebanese superstar, Ragheb Alama concluded Sunday evening his summer concert series with a performance at Ghosta Festival, in Ghosta, Lebanon, amid a large crowd.

He performed a number of old and latest songs.

The superstar performed many concerts this summer around the world including the U.S, France, Egypt, Lebanon, and Tunisia.

Ghosta Festival is an annual music and entertainment festival held in Ghosta, Keserwan, Mount Lebanon. It features a variety of music, arts and entertainment shows on different nights.

On the other hand, the 57-year-old continues to film audition episodes of the Arabic version of the talent show “The Voice” Season 5.

Ragheb stressed that the shooting environment is beautiful and very positive and that the talents participating in the program are promising and unique.

This year’s judges also include Ahlam, Mohamed Hamaki, and Samira Said.

The show will be hosted by Jeddah-based presenter Yasser Al-Saqqaf, and Nareen Faraj and directed by Janan Manadour.

The talent show is scheduled to be aired soon on MBC.

Ahlam and Hamaki will be the only remaining judges from the previous season، season 4, after Lebanese superstars Assi El Hallani and Elissa left.

In 2011-2013 he was also a jury of Arab Idol S1 and S2 beside Ahlam and Nancy Ajram and Hassan elshafei and in 2015 he was a jury of The X Factor besides Elissa and Donia Samir Ghanem.

The performer, born on June 7, 1962, is a Lebanese singer, dancer, composer, television personality, and philanthropist.

He began his career in the 1980s when he appeared as a contestant on the talent show broadcast Studio El Fan, on which he received the Platinum Award.

The philanthropist fame came after Studio El Fan with the release of his debut single "Hathak al abed hanaka" followed by yearly albums and number-one hit singles such as "Chib hanaka", "'Aan Jad" and "Alby Asheq'ha" which was the first Arabic song in history to be made into a music video.

He continued his success into the 2000s with the release of his chart-topping albums Saharony El Leil (2001), Tab Leh (2002), El Hob El Kebeer (2004) and Baa'sha'ak (2008), the latter which earned the artist the Platinum certification from Virgin Megastores for its record sales.

Alama has won two Murex d'Or Awards and several other awards during his career. His albums have made him one of the most commercially successful singers in the Arab world.
