The Moroccan capital, Rabat, will host the Confederation of African Football (CAF) Awards Ceremony on November 19, 2025.
In October, CAF announced the shortlist of nominees for the 2025 African Football Awards, recognizing the best performers across the continent.
The CAF Best Player in Africa shortlist includes ten players, among them three Arabs: Moroccan duo Achraf Hakimi (Paris Saint-Germain) and Osama El Mlioui (RS Berkane), along with Egyptian star Mohamed Salah (Liverpool).
The various award categories also feature a strong Arab presence across players, clubs, and national teams.
For example, Moroccan trio Abdellah Ouzzane, Houssam Essadik, and Othman Maama are among the nominees for African Young Player of the Year.
The national teams of Morocco, Tunisia, Algeria, and Egypt are all shortlisted for National Team of the Year, as well as the Morocco U-20 team, which recently won the FIFA U-20 World Cup.
In the Club of the Year category, the nominees include Pyramids FC (Egypt), CR Belouizdad (Algeria), CS Constantine (Algeria), RS Berkane (Morocco), and Al-Hilal (Sudan).
For the Coach of the Year award, the nominees include Hossam Hassan (Egypt), Sami Trabelsi (Tunisia), Moein Chaabani (Tunisia), and Moroccan trio Walid Regragui, Tarik Sektioui, and Mohamed Wahbi.
