The Ghana Football Association has officially appointed Carlos Queiroz as head coach of the national team for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
In a statement, the federation confirmed that Queiroz will lead the Black Stars specifically during the tournament, with his contract limited to the World Cup campaign.
Meanwhile, Tottenham Hotspur announced that Ghana international Mohammed Kudus has suffered a setback in his recovery from injury.
The club stated that Kudus, who sustained a serious quadriceps injury during a Premier League match against Sunderland in January, had recently returned to training but now requires further specialist assessment and could undergo surgery.
The development raises concerns over Kudus’ availability for Ghana at the 2026 World Cup, which will be held in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
