Queen Elizabeth II to Have 1st Public Engagement since Hospitalization

Queen Elizabeth II will participate in the Remembrance Day services on November 14, marking the UK Royal Family's head first public appearance since the latest hospitalization, media agencies reported on Friday.

Buckingham Palace announced in a statement: "The Queen will attend the annual Remembrance Day Service at the Cenotaph on Sunday 14th November."

It added: “As in previous years, Her Majesty will view the Service from the balcony of the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office."

In the same context, Prince Charles, the heir of the British throne, was asked about the health of Her Majesty amid the news. The Prince of Wales asserted that the 95-year-old monarch is "alright."

The head of the UK's royalties was advised by her doctors to have a two-week-rest and to keep doing only simple desk work.

According to a statement released by the Palace, it explained: "Her Majesty’s doctors have advised that she should continue to rest for at least the next two weeks. The doctors said that Her Majesty can continue to undertake light, desk-based duties during this time, including some virtual audiences, but not to undertake any official visits.”

Therefore, the Queen didn't attend the latest COP26, however, she had a pre-tapped speech for the summit.

Previously, Her Majesty was transported to the hospital for only 24 hours to undergo more medical tests, and examinations. She returned to Windsor Castle on the following day.
