Qatar's Emir Says Keen to Maximize Qatari Investments in Egypt

Emir of Qatar Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani affirmed his country's keenness to continue reciprocal steps to advance and strengthen various mechanisms of bilateral cooperation between the two brotherly countries during the coming period through maximizing Qatari investments in Egypt and exploiting the available investment opportunities

The Qatari Emir praised the contribution of the Egyptian community to the construction and development process in the State of Qatar in various fields.

Noteworthy, Sisi welcomed Emir of Qatar Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani at Al-Ittihadiya Palace Presidential Palace, as the Qatari leader visited Egypt for the first time since Cairo and Doha resumed diplomatic ties last year as part of Al-Ula agreement that ended an over three-year-long diplomatic rift.

The two leaders listened to the national anthems of both countries before starting summit talks.

The Qatari emir was received by President El-Sisi at Cairo International Airport on Friday evening.
