Qatar's Coronavirus Cases Exceed 2,000

Qatar's Health Ministry on Tuesday confirmed 225 new coronavirus cases, bringing the total number of the detected cases to 2057.

In a statement, the ministry added that it recorded two COVID-19 deaths, raising the death toll in the country to 6.

"19 new cases have totally recovered and this upped the total number of the recovered cases to 150," the Qatar's ministry said.

It is worth mentioning that the World Health Organisation (WHO) revealed earlier today that more 68,000 cases around the world have been infected with the virus during the last twenty-four hours.

Noteworthy, more cases of the virus, which causes respiratory disease COVID-19, continue to emerge, with outbreaks in South Korea, Italy, and Iran.

People across the globe partake in self-isolation for 14 days as an effective precautionary measure to protect those around them and themselves from contracting COVID-19.

Transmission of virus between humans happens when someone comes into contact with an infected person’s secretions, such as droplets in a cough.

It can also be transmitted by coming into contact with something an infected person has touched and then touching your mouth, nose or eyes.

The global death toll of new coronavirus “COVID-19” is dramatically increasing, hitting 70,344.

Meanwhile the number of coronavirus confirmed cases registered one million and 285 thousand and 285 cases globally.
