Qatar's Ambassador to the United States, Sheikh Meshal bin Hamad Al Thani, affirmed that US President Donald Trump's visit to Doha will contribute to strengthening joint mediation efforts among Egypt, Qatar, and the United States to permanently stop the war in Gaza. It will also provide an opportunity to discuss the reconstruction of the Strip and advance efforts to revive the peace process.
In statements to the Qatar News Agency (QNA), Sheikh Meshaal indicated that the visit represents a major step towards strengthening the solid bilateral relations between the two countries, which extend back more than five decades, and reflects the US administration's appreciation for the active role played by the State of Qatar in supporting the stability and prosperity of the region.
